Charleston, SC - Independent music store Millennium Music will be extending its stay at 372 King Street through Spoleto, and will be closing down on June 9, 2008.

Millennium Music's previously announced closing date of May 1, has been pushed to June, allowing the music retailer to stay active during Spoleto Festival USA and to prepare the new space for the big move. The store plans to move to a warehouse located in Mount Pleasant to continue running FeedYourPlayer.com, an online music service store.

A farewell party and moving sale is set for Saturday, June 7, with the theme "Thank You, Charleston, for 15 Fantastic Years!" Free food and beverages will be served and several bands will play in-store throughout the afternoon and evening, including classical and jazz performers, as well as local band Milhouse. The sale will include discounted inventory, furniture, displays, computers and equipment from the store.

"Thanks for being a part of the Millennium Music story with us," says Wagner. "We look forward to a deserving and satisfying ending to Millennium and have great anticipation for the FeedYourPlayer.com journey we are just beginning."

FeedYourPlayer.com was launched in January 2006 as the global revitalization of Millennium Music. Due to its popular iPod Trade and the recent success of its trade for top-selling electronics, the online store has been growing ever since.
